Newborn Photo Shoot | Hemel Hempstead | Lylah

Everyone meet Lylah.  This gorgeous little thing was towards the older end of the timescale that I offer newborn photo shoots so she was on the wriggly side!
My main aim for her session was to get some beautiful images with her mum as well as some images in props.

I generally start sessions with parent and sibling photos.  That way parents can relax and siblings can get mucky while I focus on the new arrival.

I love the tattoos on Lylah's mum's hands, especially in the black and white image.  It makes them just that little bit more personal.

Photographing naked babies come with certain risks.  Certain risks that leave both mum's tops and my floor really quite wet...  A little bit of Photoshopping later and no one needs to know - apart from you of course!

Do you like my new wooden floor?  Because I'm a little bit in love.  It's actually 'PolyFabric' which is a posh way of saying it's a textured, non reflective fabric that can be wiped down when it get's pee'd on. It goes so well with my wooden bowl.

Lylah was only just small enough to fit in the bowl but when we got her in there she looked so gorgeous and chunky.

To finish off her session I got some more simple images on the beanbag.   Lylah had started to wake up again by then so we got some funny looks and some VERY cute yawns.
