You can contact me any time during your pregnancy to book your Newborn Photo Shoot. I will add a temporary date to the calendar, which we will change depending on when he or she arrives.

Newborn shoots ideally take place within the first two weeks after your baby is born. That way they are still nice and sleepy and flexible to get into those super cute poses. If you've missed the 2 week window, still Get In Touch and we can discuss the right type of photo shoot for you.

Ideally, Newborn Pictures should be taken when a baby is under 3 weeks old.
After this time babies become a little more alert and getting those cute, sleepy photos can be a bit trickier.
That being said, I will happily photograph babies at any age so if you’ve missed that 1-3 week window, still get in touch and we can plan your baby’s perfect photo shoot.

Newborn Photo Shoots take place at my home studio in Emerson Valley, Milton Keynes. I have two adjoined, dedicated rooms with a comfortable seating area, photogaphing area and large bathroom.
There is off street parking right outside.

My studio has a changing table, wipes and nappies and I am happy to provide hot water to warm a bottle if needed.

I have a selection of blankets, wraps, hats, headbands and accessories that I use during your shoot. On your booking form there is space for you to tell me what colours you like, whether you like hats and headbands and whether you prefer images on blankets or in larger props like crates. If you'd like to bring your own items to include in the shoot, please try and tell me beforehand or when you first arrive.

I usually find that photo shoots last around 2-4 hours.

I set aside extra time during newborn photo shoots for settling, feeding and cleaning up messes and only ever book one newborn shoot a day so there is absolutely no rush. Some babies are happy from beginning to end and some need a little more time to settle.

It is very rare that a newborn photo shoot goes past without a baby doing a wee or a poo! I have waterproof sheets between each blanket and can switch to a clean one very easily. I even keep clean clothes ready in case it happens on me!
I’ve been a newborn photographer for 10 years now and dealing with wee and poo is all part of the job!

Of course! Let me know in advance and I'll set everything up before you arrive so we can do them first. That way you can relax for the rest of your time with me. If siblings aren't too keen to have their photo taken at the beginning of the photo shoot we can try again at the end.

If you don't want to be in any photos, that's also fine. You've just had a baby, turn up in your pyjamas if that's what you're most comfortable in right now.

All you need to bring is anything you'd usually take on a day out with your baby. If you have anything you'd like to include in your photos, let me know in advance and bring that along as well.

This is a non judgement zone. Whether you had a home birth/water birth/drug free/all the drugs/bottle feed/breast feed/two mums/two dads - all are welcome here!

Around two weeks after your Newborn Photo Shoot I will upload your images to an private, passworded online gallery where you can view your images in your own time. The gallery is live for 2 weeks for you to place your order.
