Rosie's summer photo shoot

I don’t get to photograph teens & tweens very often so when I do it’s loads of fun.

The day of Rosie’s photo shoot it was a boiling hot summers day, which is lovely to be out in but makes life a bit trickier for photographers!

Whenever you book an outdoor photo shoot you’ll always see photographers try and book you in as early or close to sunset as possible. This is to avoid the harsh sunlight. No one wants blown out images or to be squinting in every photo.
Sometimes that’s not always possible though so there’s a few things we look out for. One - keep the sun behind the person you’re photographing as much as possible and two - look for shade.

And you can see that’s exactly what we did for Rosie.

The sunshine shining off the leaves and trees made for a beautiful backdrop for her photos. The dress she chose matched the feel of the photo shoot perfectly as well.
We got some posed photos with mums help to make her laugh for some gorgeous natural smiles and then I always like to ask if they have any ideas for photos, which they always find really fun. Rosie wanted a jumping photo so we finished the shoot with a big leap in the air!

I hope you love you photos as much as I do Rosie x
