Evie's Newborn Photo Shoot
/Evie came for her Newborn Photo Shoot with her big sister and her mum when she was just a few days old.
She was such a calm baby happily snoozed her way through most of the photo shoot!
When I photograph newborns with their older siblings, I like to start with those photos first. That way you don’t have to worry about keeping them clean for the rest of the photo shoot when they’re asking for snacks! It also means if they’re a little nervous to start with, we can always try again later once they have seen what it’s all about.
Some parents like to take older siblings out once family photos are finished, while mum stays with me for the rest of the photo shoot. Luckily, Milton Keynes has loads to do like soft play, trampolines and tons of parks and lakes to explore.
Evie’s big sister was really well behaved and we got some beautiful images of them together. I absolutely adore the photo of Evie laying in her big sister’s hands.
Next I moved on to taking a couple of photos with mum and then Evie herself.
Mum requested props so I used my brown bowl with lovely soft cushioning to make sure she stayed comfy and filled the rest of the gallery with lots of variety by switching up backdrops, headbands and wraps.
I only place babies in positions they are comfortable in and Evie didn’t mind being on her front, side or back - she was so relaxed!
