Think winter - but pink. That’s what we did for Evelyn’s Cake Smash.

Her mum wanted a pink, frosted wonderland so out came my Christmas props and I put together this gorgeous winter scene. Her mum bought the cake and her outfit and I don’t know about you put I love those socks.

I always offer babies wooden spoons at some point during their cake smash. Let’s face it, 1 year olds love hitting things with sticks and what makes a better drum than a cake?! They’re also great for babies who aren’t keen on getting dirty or need a little extra time before sticking their hands right in.
Evelyn saw my spoon and decided she wanted them both. It was her birthday so who was I to say no?

When it comes to Cake Smash photo shoots I always go at your baby’s speed. If they’re not a massive fan of the cake we can spend more time without the cake or if you’ve decided you want them, doing ‘splash’ photos in my little tin bath.
Most babies LOVE to splash and my studio turns into more of a swimming pool by the end!
