When should I book my maternity session?
You can book your session as early as you like once you have found out you're expecting. It's best for bump shoots to take place while your bump is at it's biggest and roundest so I recommend within the last 2 months of pregnancy.
Where do you do the shoot?
Maternity shoots can take place outdoors or I can come to your home. If you have a park or open space close to your house I'm happy to capture a mixture of both.
I offer free travel within 15 miles of Hemel Hempstead with a small charge for further afield.
How long does it last?
Shoots usually last between 1 and 2 hours. This gives us enough time for a few different locations around your house or outside as well as a couple of outfit changes if you would like.
Should I bring anything?
You are more than welcome to bring any clothes or toys that you would like to be in the photos. Feel free to send me a message if you'd like some advice or ideas.
What should I wear?
I suggest having at least one outfit that clings to your tummy and shows off your bump. This could possibly be leggings and a long tight top. Along side that I always think it's good to show off your personality, whether that's with a long flowing dress or jeans and a t-shirt.
Can my partner or a future big brother or sister be in the picture?
Of course! Just let me know in advance so that I can prepare.
Do I have to get my bump out?
Of course not. Some ladies prefer to stay covered, which is absolutely fine. Just wear something nice and clingy to show off your shape.
Can you photoshop my stretch marks?
I generally just do a light re touch on your tummy. If you are self conscious about any stretch marks and would like them completely removed, let me know and i'll do my best to remove them for you.
When do I get to see the photos?
This is the exciting bit!!
Your Reveal Session takes place around 2 weeks after you newborn session. We sit down together and go through around 20-25 images choosing all your favourites and deciding what products you love, whether thats digital files, albums, canvases, metal prints or more.
